Designing the backup scope
The first decision is what actually has to stay up. Life-safety loads are dictated by code. Beyond that it is a business decision — refrigeration, servers, point of sale, specific production equipment — and each addition changes the generator size and the fuel requirement.
We work through that list with you and design the emergency distribution around it, rather than backing up everything by default and charging for capacity you do not need.
Testing is the part people skip
A backup system that has never been tested under load is an assumption. Load bank testing proves the generator will carry the actual demand, and it exercises the transfer sequence end to end.
For facilities with regulatory obligations, we provide the test records in the form your inspector or accrediting body expects.
UPS and the gap before the generator starts
A generator takes several seconds to pick up load. For servers, controls and medical equipment those seconds matter, which is where a UPS bridges the gap.
We install and maintain UPS systems, replace batteries on schedule before they fail, and verify the runtime is still what the design assumed rather than what it was five years ago.

Most systems exercise weekly without load and should be tested under load at least annually. Healthcare and other regulated facilities have stricter, specifically defined schedules.
Yes, on scheduled replacement intervals and on failure. Battery strings degrade predictably, so replacing on schedule is far cheaper than discovering the shortfall during an outage.
